DERRYHENNETT Vintage Vehicle Club, near Keady, has presented a cheque for £2,000 to Myrtle and Neville Pogue, and Bernie Byrne, representatives from Southern Area Hospice Services. The presentation took place at Madden School House, where the club held its Vintage Day back in June.
The fantastic amount of money was raised from the Vintage Day, and the club’s Annual Road Run, which took place in September. Derryhennett Vintage Club would like to thank each and every person who supported the two events.
The organisers would also like to thank everyone who helped and supported the club events throughout the year.
They would like to also thank David McCune for threshing on the day of the road run; John Armstrong for baling; and also Clontibret Vintage Club for the corn that was provided for threshing with. Thanks also to Mervyn Hawthorne for the use of his land, Madden School House for the use of its premises and Honor Hawthorne for cooking the yummy burgers.
Derryhennett is already planning its event for next year.
