THE Northern Spring point to point season gets underway with the East Down fixture at Tyrella on Saturday, January 28. However, the Ulster Region will lose four fixtures this season, including the two-day Crumlin meeting with the Killultagh Hunt having been disbanded. Only a one-day meeting will be staged at Necarne Castle, Irvinestown on April 22, while due to ploughing, the Staghound fixture at Loughbrickland will also be lost this season.
The Armagh meeting at Farmacaffley will have a new innovation will a 2 1/2 mile maiden for four-year-olds and the start prior to what is the final fence. Dates for local meetings are detailed below.
