A total of 38 entries have been catalogued for the Tattersalls Cheltenham February Sale, which takes place this Thursday, February 24 from 1.00pm in the Tattersalls Cheltenham Sale Ring.
The catalogue, race replays and race analysis can be viewed online at www.tattersallscheltenham.com. Hard copies of the catalogue will be available from Tattersalls representatives at Cheltenham Racecourse, with horses available for inspection from 2.30pm on Wednesday, February 23.
The Tattersalls Cheltenham sales continue to be a consistent source of elite National Hunt winners. ‘Does He Know’ won the Grade 2 Reynoldstown Chase on Saturday at Ascot, making it 66 black-type winners since last January. He was purchased for just £38,000 by connections from Jacqueline Coward.
‘Love Envoi’ was also purchased for £38,000 at last year’s Cheltenham March Sale held at Park Paddocks and extended her unbeaten record to five when winning the Grade 2 Jane Seymour Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at Sandown last week for her trainer Harry Fry.
The Tattersalls Cheltenham February Sale is the first sale to offer four-year-old point-to-pointers and has an outstanding record for producing Grade 1 graduates, including recent Cheltenham Festival winners ‘Envoi Allen’ and ‘Ferny Hollow’.
The Tattersalls Cheltenham February Sale this year comprises of:
33 winning and placed point-to-pointers;
including 12 winning and placed four-year-olds;
3 winning and placed Bumper horses in training;
1 French placed four-year-old;
1 Irish maiden hurdle winner.
