SOUTH Eastern Regional College (SERC) will be hosting higher education (HE) and further education (FE) enrolment days this August at the college’s main campuses in Bangor, Downpatrick, Lisburn and Newtownards for students wishing to progress to the college for courses commencing September 2022.
For students who have gained A Level or equivalent Level 3 FE qualifications, HE enrolment will be on Thursday, August 18, from 9am-4.30pm, and Friday, August 19, from 9am-3pm.
For students who are progressing after GCSEs (aged 16+), FE, Traineeship and Apprenticeship enrolment will be on Thursday, August 25, from 9am-4.30pm and Friday, August 26, from 9am-3pm.
Careers advisors will be available on campus on enrolment days on a drop-in, first come, first served basis.
Prior to enrolment days you can make an appointment to speak to a careers advisor, 9.30am-4pm, on August 15, 16 and 17 and on August 22, 23, 24 by emailing careers@serc.ac.uk
Heather McKee, Director of Strategic Planning, Quality and Support, said: “There is still time to apply to SERC for programmes commencing in September 2022.
She added: “We offer programmes in a diverse range of qualifications from entry level through to HND and degree, and in a range of subjects from Animal Care to Bio Sciences, from Computing to Construction, from Hairdressing to Health and Social Care, from Motor Vehicle to Music and Media, and Performing Arts to Plumbing and Public Services.”
She concluded: “Our employment-focussed curriculum and commitment to project-based learning make sense when it comes to taking the next step into higher education.
“We urge potential students to read our digital FE and HE Prospectus’ for 2022-23, which will link through to course information and gives an overview of the online application process to see how we can help you achieve your goals through a course at SERC.”
