ON Saturday, October 16, the sun shone as James Townley, of J D Townley & Son from Magherascouse, tied the knot with Miss Rebecca Lund.
Like many couples this past year, the wedding was delayed from October 2020 but thankfully, as restrictions lifted, the couple got the wedding of their dreams.
The wedding took place in Rebecca’s home town of Southwell in Nottinghamshire at the Southwell Minster at 12pm. Rebecca arrived to church on a carriage pulled by two grey Shire horses whilst James drove a John Deere 6190R. It was a perfect autumnal day which was reflected in the colour scheme of the flowers and bridesmaid dresses. The reception took place at Chapel Farm in Upton near Newark in a marquee.
The day was enjoyed by all guests but not least by their 14-week-old son, Jonathan, who just slightly stole the show. The groom was happy to see the harvest season finish earlier than normal and get the majority of autumn sowing drilled before the wedding.
