BALLYNURE Vintage Tractor and Ploughing Society has presented a cheque to Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke for £1,600. The money was raised at the society’s highly successful road run just after Christmas, which attracted 149 tractors.
Valerie Saunders, NI Chest Heart and Stroke Community Fundraising Co-ordinator, thank-
ed the society for its kind donation. She said: “We provide a range of life-changing and life-enhancing services to help and support chest, heart and stroke survivors and their carers throughout Northern Ireland.
“Today in Northern Ireland there are over 335,000 people living a chest, heart or stroke condition. We provide support to people at some of the most difficult times in their lives. Last year our Care Services Programme provided practical and emotional support to almost 4,000 people.
“We fund world-class, local medical research which helps save and improve lives.”
