A warm welcome is extended to Beef Shorthorn mem-bers and potential mem-
bers to an educational development day to be staged at the Dungannon-based farm of Alfie and Elaine Shaw and family.
Set to take place this Saturday, October 8, the event will be held on farm at 33 Tobermesson Road, Dungannon, with pre registration essential.
There will be a number of workshops on the day, including ring craft and show etiquette, animal preparation, stock judging, Glenarm Beef Shorthorn Beef Scheme, EBVs and scanning, butchery and livestock photography tips. This promises to be a very interesting day with something taking place to interest absolutely everyone.
The Shaws’ farm is home to Glebefarm Shorthorns, and visit-ors on the day will be able to view the quality stock within this award winning herd.
This is a tremendous opport-unity for young members and their families to enjoy a relaxed day out while also having the opportunity to get involved within the ‘hands-on’ workshops. Refreshments will be provided on the day.
