OVER the past year, the Birr House Pony Club Centre members have raised £405.00 for The Alzheimer’s Society and gained their Fundraising Badge. The main event the members decided to hold was a Cupcake Day / Afternoon Tea party, following the recommendation of The Alzheimer’s Society. After some meticulous planning sessions, they were ready!

They rocked up to Caroline’s beautifully decorated back garden, with polished boots, crisp shirts and positive attitudes. They played mini games including “guess the celebrity” and also held a raffle, with prizes ranging from chocolates to beauty sets, to personal training vouchers.

Members baked the buns themselves and the lovely leaders provided everyone with tea, coffee, sugar and many many cups, saucers and napkins! The members served the delicious refreshments to full tables. The weather was gorgeous – it seemed even it wanted the members to fundraise!

Thank you to all those who donated to the charity and thank you to the lovely leaders, Debbie and Caroline, for helping members to organise a wonderful day.
