The sale’s top price of 4800 guineas was paid for an imported ewe selling with her super ewe lamb at foot. There was stiff competition for this lot, with the hammer falling to Conal Murray, Ballygowan.

Chasing this at 4400 guineas was a well bred stock ewe selling with her ram lamb at foot. She now travels to Newtownards to the farm of Stewart Donaldson.

Two lots realised 4100 guinea. The first of these was an eye-catching ewe lamb sired by the impressive stock ram Jura Eragon. She sold to Seven Mile Straight Farms, Antrim.

Another ewe lamb bred the same way also reached 4100 guineas paid by Conal Murray, Ballygowan.

Ewe lambs were in fierce demand with 19 returning an average of £3500.

Rams sold well hitting heights of 2000 guineas. This was paid by Matt Ryan, Wicklow for a quality two shear ram bred by the Glenchamber flock.

Due to the level of demand in the entire catalogue the sale recorded a 100% clearance.

The Beattie family would like to wish all their purchasers well with their sheep, and to thank all those who assisted in any way in the smooth running of the sale.
