THE Autumn Awards Ceremony at CAFRE’s Greenmount Campus took place on Thursday November 28.
The ceremony saw 31 students achieve a Level 2 Certificate for Animal Nursing Assistants and seven students receive a Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing.
The ceremony provided an opportunity for CAFRE staff, graduates’ families and friends to acknowledge their great achievement. The event also acknowledges the continued support from local veterinary practices and veterinary companies that support the students during the course with work placements and employment, while on the night presenting prizes to the top students.
Clare Shiel, Territory Manager for Norbrook, oversaw the presentation of their award for top achievement across the Level 3 Veterinary Nursing Diploma to Faith Stanfield of Glen Vets in Bangor.
Chris Elliot of Boehringer Ingelheim presented their award for top achievement in the Veterinary Nursing OSCE practical exam to Caitlan McMillan of Downe Vets, while the VSSCO prize for top achievement in the Level 2 Certificate for Animal Nursing Assistants was awarded to Kathryn Kincaid of Ashwood Vets, Belfast.
