Cash Back Unregistered Series continues at The Meadows

A bumper entry attended the Meadows Equestrian Centre, Lurgan, for the continuation of the ‘Cash Back’ Unregistered Series on Saturday, May 28. Over £600 was paid out in prize money on the day to the highest placed combinations in all classes.

In the first competition of the day, all the combinations in the cross-poles were successful in getting their ponies around the course without penalty to take home some prize money for all their efforts.

The introduction of small fillers for the 50cm class didn’t prove to be bothersome for the entered riders, with many of the combinations also recording double clears.

In the 60cm class, Sienna Doherty had a very busy day competing on two ponies and recording faultless performances on both. Meanwhile, the 70cm also saw many of the riders going double clear and sharing the spoils of the prize pot.

From the 80cm class onwards, time became a deciding factor. With such a large entry in these classes, the prize fund paid out to seventh and, on occasion, eighth placings!

The highest paid combinations came from the 90cm and 1m classes, where the winners went home with £40.

Cash Back Unregistered will continue this weekend on Saturday, June 4, as part of the Jubilee Horse and Pony Show.
