Charity dinner and auction in aid of CLAPA

MOUNTHILL DINNER RI Farm
n William Rainey and Alex Wright.

IT was originally meant to be the Annual Awards Presentation Dinner Dance, but given Mounthill Fair was ‘rained off’ on the first Saturday in October, the event was re-branded as the Charity Dinner and Auction, held in St John’s Masonic Club, Larne, raising funds for the fair’s nominated charity of 2019, CLAPA (Cleft Lip and Palate Association).

Chairman John Cross welcomed everyone, expressing thanks to the Larne Masonic Centre for the use of its premises for the dinner and committee meetings; ‘Marty’s’ for the delicious meal; all the various sponsors; all those who donated prizes for the ballot and auction; the Mackey family, on whose land the fair had been due to take place; Geoff Murray for providing the entertainment at the dinner; the Fair Society Committee for all its hard work, and everyone who turned up to support the dinner, all raising funds for the charity.
