UPPER Bann MP Carla Lockhart joined with over 900 guests at a remarkable fundraising dinner for the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice in the Seagoe Hotel recently. The event was organised by John Wilson MBE.
The DUP representative spoke at the event, and after the dinner said: “To bring together almost 1,000 people under the same roof for any charitable cause is a remarkable feat.
“Tonight’s fundraiser for the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice has raised thousands of pounds for this incredible charity and will go some way to helping provide care for those children and young people who find themselves in need of hospice care.
“This amazing evening is largely down to the vision and determination of one man. John Wilson MBE has a passion and drive to support the hospice which is truly inspiring, and along with his wife Daphne they have made this event a resounding success. The work that goes into organising a night like this is significant and tonight’s success is a credit to a remarkable man.
“I look forward to hearing the final sum raised and know that it will reflect the success of what was an evening to remember.”
