PRIZE GIVING: The winning line up in the 70cm class at Carryduff Equestrian Centre, Mollie Colville on ‘Riley’, Gillian Whyte on ‘Zephyr’ and Suzie Davis on ‘Willow’. (FW37-601NN)

CARRYDUFF Equestrian Centre, based at Primrose Farm, Upper Mealough Road, ran their annual six-week show jumping league throughout July and August, culminating with the final on August 22. Each week a wonderful flowing course was built by Raymond Jess, with the stunning backdrop of the Belfast Black Mountain. With one round for £10 or two for £16, it was a good value competition or more practice for competitor’s next round!

The league was a very competitive one, with many tight turns and gallops with a few thrills and spills to see who would win the wonderful prizes, with some close finishes for the top spots.
