County TW 1474 heading to Yorkshire auction

THIS very tidy 1981 County TW 1474 will be offered for sale on November 12-13 when it will be auctioned by Mathewsons of Pickering, North Yorkshire, on behalf of owner Tom Scott from Crumlin in County Antrim.

Built in July 1981 at Fleet in Hampshire, this 1474 was based on the Ford TW 20 skid unit. These tractors are very popular with County enthusiasts and collectors. The County was sold new by Ford dealers Haynes of Maidstone, Kent, in 1981.

Owner Tom Scott purchased the 1474 about 15 years ago and restored the tractor to its present condition. Since that time the County has only attended local vintage shows and has not been put to work.

The engine, with just 4,094 hours on the clock, is running sweetly with good oil pressure.

The cab interior is also very good and with four new Goodyear tyres fitted this is a very nice example of a County TW 1474.

It will be very interesting to see what price this tractor will achieve at public auction.

Those who are interested in buying the tractor or want more information can contact Mathewsons Auctions on 01751 474455 or mathewsons.co.uk
