Clockwise from above: This steam engine was a big attraction at John Dan OHare’s field demonstration at Fernhill Road, Annaclone, recently, driving the Thresher. Hundreds turned out to watch this 1911 machine working threshing Barley and an old time Baler belonging to Ernest Mathers. It is a great spectacle to watch these great machines operating as it was done in bygone days;

This is what the local farmers came to see at John Dan O’Hare’s demonstration – a 1911 steam engine in perfect working order;

John Dan O’Hare brought out his array of harvesters in this field beside his farm at Fernhill Road, Annaclone, especially for cameraman Billy Maxwell, Katesbridge, and local farmers all in a line down this field – from right, a 1976 harvester, a 1980 harvester, a 2000 harvester, and present up-to-date harvester.
