DESERTMARTIN Horse Agility Club are delighted to be holding their inaugural event on Saturday, March 25, as a charity fundraising day, to support ‘Charlotte’s Gobi Gallop’, in aid of the Veloo Foundation for Children of the Peak Sanctuary in Mongolia. In June, Charlotte Moore will undertake the challenge of riding (galloping!) 700km across Mongolia in just 10 days – a brave and formidable challenge, but for a wonderful children’s charity, which the club are keen to support.
This promises to be a fun day of equine agility for horses and their riders. The full obstacle course includes typical horse agility tasks, like the see-saw, noodles passage, standing block, bridge, curtain, water, flags and tarps. Obstacles will be completed in-hand first, then ridden if you choose to do so (under 16s must have adult supervision).
There are NO FEES for the day; a light lunch is included; participants will receive Horse Agility Club rosettes; and Charlotte will give a brief lunchtime presentation about the charity and her preparations for her Gobi Gallop. All charitable donations will be gratefully received. Organisers look forward to a fun fundraising day of horse agility obstacle challenges, fun and learning!
The Charity Fundraising Day is on Saturday, March 25 from 10am until 3.30pm at 3 Rectory Road, Tobermore, BT45 5QW.
Registration is essential. Early booking is advised. For more information and booking, please message/ WhatsApp Nicky on 07856 193155.
