Agri technology company Devenish has launched its first ever apprenticeship programme which will help employees within its production and distribution operations gain formal qualifications.
The new programme, launching this month, will see an initial group of 11 employees, based in the company’s Belfast animal feed mill and distribution centre, study towards an Apprenticeship in Food Services Team Leading. The apprentices will take monthly classes, working through study modules, receiving ongoing feedback and completing a final assignment for their team leading vocational qualification.
They will then progress onto Essential Skills classes in early 2020 which will culminate with additional qualifications in the areas of English and Maths.
