Dungannon Dairy Sale resumes on January 24

THE first Dungannon Dairy Sale of the New Year takes place on Thursday, January 24.

Judging commences at 10.30am, with judging in the capable hands of Iain McLean from the noted Priestland Herd based at Bushmills. The pre-sale show is generously sponsored by Bank of Ireland.

The sale gets underway at 11.30am sharp, with auctioneer Michael Taaffe confirming that 52 fresh calved heifers and young cows are set to come under the hammer.

Entries have been catalogued from many of the Province’s leading pedigree herds, including: Aghyaran, Ardmore, Ardpatrick, Ards, Aughnahoory, Bannwater, Carrowcroft, Dunbanard, Derrydorragh, Killane, Lisrawglen and Relough (20).

The milking females on offer are daughters of leading AI sires such as Afterburner, Trix, Penmanship, Rubicon, Solaris, Aftershock, Omen, La Bron, Mardi Gras, Brasileiro, Dreamer, Nadal, Heinz, Buick, Grafeeti, Denim and Glaus.
