RENOWNED equestrian illustrator, Emily Cole, has launched a new collection of drawings featuring two new characters that capture the relationship between performance horse, ‘Jimmy’, and long suffering, highly opinionated companion pony, ‘Sugar Plum’.
The idea for the collection of drawings came from the very popular Companion Pony drawing that shows a chestnut horse hugging a disgruntled dun Shetland. The relationship between these two really delighted Emily’s audience, and that captured Emily’s imagination and allowed her to develop these two into a much larger collection.
“I put the first drawing out at the start of January as a test and have been absolutely overwhelmed and delighted by the response to these two,” said Emily Cole. “We hope to develop a range of products in the not too distant future. We have put a few of the drawings on greeting cards already and people loved them. We released ‘Mare Stare’ and ‘It Must Be Love’ for Valentine’s Day and we were thrilled with how people bought them and have embraced ‘Sugar Plum’ and ‘Jimmy’. We have some very exciting things in the pipeline with these two and can’t wait to share everything when we can!”
New drawings are released each week on Emily’s social media and products are also announced on social media and through the newsletter, so subscribers get to find out about the latest developments and products first.
