LORD Mayor Councillor Kate Nicholl met with German environmentalist Arnd Drossel as he makes his way to COP26 – the UN’s annual climate change conference, being held in Glasgow this weekend.
The artist and activist is travelling to the event in his giant mental sphere, through seven countries in 91 days and was greeted by the Lord Mayor at City Hall.
Arnd is also supporting Belfast City Council’s #OneWeeThing campaign which aims to tackle climate change and mobilise local action in the run up to COP26. He too is asking people to make one small promise to try and live in a more sustainable way.
The #OneWeeThing campaign is a chance to recognise the work that is already underway in Belfast and the contribution that people are making to the climate crisis at a local level.
