ARMAGH Show is looking forward to holding its 175th show on Saturday, June 11, with over 400 entries in the equestrian classes! The show will take place in the usual picturesque setting of Gosford Forest Park in Markethill.
Please note that online entries for showing and in-hand classes closed on Friday, June 3, while those interested in pony and horse jumping can enter on the day for a fee of £10 and £12 respectively.
This year, there has been a large entry for the Dublin Qualifiers, which is encouraging – these include a Breeders’ Championship for mare and foal most likely to make a top show jumper; mare and foal most like to produce a top eventer; Intermediate side saddle; Ladies Side saddle and Racehorse to Riding Horse. ISA Qualifiers are also well supported – these are numerous and include classes for young stock, Irish Draughts, Connemaras and pony showing.
The show rings are all very accessible for spectators and organisers look forward to welcoming large crowds to the show. There will be plenty of entertainment for those not involved in the equestrian classes, with two dog shows and working dog displays, cattle, sheep, poultry, pigs and goats. There will also be a food hall, home industries, trade stands and vintage machines, plus many other displays!
For enquiries, please contact the show office, which will be open all next week – Tel: 028 3752 2333.
A day out to Armagh Show will be worthwhile for all the family – see you in Gosford Forest Park!
