AN exciting eight-week league reached a hot finale at Kernan Equestrian Centre, Crossmaglen last Friday, June 17. Boys and girls had battled it out, come rain or shine, over the past two months.
The cross-poles champions were two sisters, who travelled from Newtownhamilton to take part – Bella Murtagh riding ‘Tickles’ and Lois Murtagh riding ‘Big Daddy’. The runner up was Leah McCullagh riding ‘Candy’.
The 40cm class was won by Lois Murtagh again on ‘Big Daddy’ beating her big sister Bella. Local lady, Ruby McVery riding ‘Lucy’ was a very close third.
On behalf of Kernan Equestrian, organisers would like to thank everyone most sincerely for their wonderful support and look forward to the next league, which will begin in early July.
