After a number of very suc-cessful agricultural shows this summer, the final one with a poultry section was held last Wednesday.
The Fermanagh County Show in Enniskillen is a two-day event and very popular attraction.
The poultry show attracts ex-hibitors from the county and surrounding areas.
Brian King, from Ballymena, kindly did the honours of judging this event having exhibited a range of poultry and waterfowl over a number of years along with his wife Margaret.
Having both judged and exhibited at this event over the years, I always loved attending the County Fermanagh Show, where we always receive a warm welcome from the hard working organisers and enjoy all the other competitions, trade stands and exhibitions.
This year’s poultry show had some wonderful entries with team Adams and McLaren taking top awards with an absolutely fantastic Gold Brahma cockerel, with the Reserve Show Champion award going to James Weatherup’s standard Poland female.
This show always has a prize for the best County Fermanagh entry and this year it went to Richard Ogle’s Indian Game.
Huge congratulations to the org-anisers, exhibitors and judge for putting on a wonderful display
of yesteryear poultry and water-fowl.
My thanks to Ryan McLaren for his great photographs of the show.
