The Northern Ireland Val-ais Blacknose Club has announced details of its very first “demo day” in the Province.
It will take place on Sunday, October 10, 1-5pm, at Beatties Livestock Center, Omagh.
Speakers from NFU, UFU, Provtia, and Magee Shearing will be joined by guest speak-ers Raymond Irvine and Jenni McAllister from the TV series This Farming Life.
Raymond and Jenni live on a farm in the Scottish Highlands near Tomintoul, where they specialise in pedigree Charolais cattle.
Jenni grew up on a farm by Loch Lomond and works in IT.
The pair were at the Balmoral Show this year, where Raymond was judging the Charolais classes.
In May 2014 they imported 13 blacknose from Valais and then another 26 in September that year. They currently have an ever-growing flock of 85 plus.
On one of the first trips to Valais they bought King Kong ram, a big ram with a big heart and he was the beginning of their blacknose adventure. King Kong offspring are kept in Northern Ireland.
Since then together Raymond and Jenni have enjoyed much
success taking show champion-ships and top prices, including a recent female record for a ewe lamb at the Blacknose Beauties Sale in late August.
Having started the main UK Society to which the NI Valaisblacknose Club is affiliated, and organising the biggest show and sale in Carlisle, its fair to say they have great passion for

Big kids and small kids will also be allowed to get up close for a lovely picture in the Hugs with Herbie pen and see why everyone is talking about the “world’s cutest sheep”
