WITH weather and ground conditions ideal, there was a good turnout of around 40 tractors for Bradley’s Corner Vintage Club’s first ever Working Day at the Evans Farm, Ballynagowan Road, Desertmartin.
There was ploughing, grubbing, discing, etc, with approximately eight acres to be worked.
All funds raised will go to FACTS autism support group.
Main organiser Aidrian Cullinan expressed thanks to the Evans family for the use of the field; the Ploughing Academy for Northern Ireland for its expert advice in setting up everyone’s ploughs; all those who supported the event and for the generous donations towards FACTS; and everyone who helped in any way to make this first working day a resounding success.
It was also pleasing to see so many other vintage clubs supporting the event.
Next up is the vintage tractor run on Sunday, August 21.
