The YFCU’s Floral Art Final, which normally takes place at Balmoral Show, was held this year via the online platform Zoom.

Earlier on in the year over 400 competitors took part in the floral art heats, so making it through to the finals is a remarkable achievement.

n Rebecca McCracken, Newtownards YFC, won the 16-18 year old class. :

The format for the competition was similar to the regular competition as members where given one hour to complete their display. The display was then blind judged by two national judges.

The theme for this year’s final was ‘90 Glorious Years’ to mark the association’s anniversary.

Members showcased their artistic abilities through creating everything from champagne flutes to YFCU memory boxes.
