Focus on safe calving

THE Rural Health Partnership’s Women in Farming Programme held a very successful ‘Safe Cow Calving’ workshop recently.

Vet Anna and Veterinary Nurse Jude from Newry Veterinary Centre gave a very informative presentation on the stages of cow calving, correct usage of cow calving equipment and keeping yourself safe during the process. There was plenty of lively discussion and anecdotes shared on the evening.
