Forthcoming events at Lisbane Farm

Lisbane Farm BR Farm
BEST OF BOTH: The cross-country at this weekenda's competition at Lisbane Farm will be on both grass and sand. (FW35-540NN)

THIS Sunday, September 2, Lisbane Farm is hosting a One-Day Event and Two-Phase competition, with a cash prize fund of over £500, very kindly sponsored by Carlisle’s Fresh Foods of Ballynahinch, Rockrimmon Equestrian Sand and Lougherne Stud.

With classes from 75cm, this type of event is a good starting point for anyone wanting to have a go at eventing. Dressage will take place on grass and show jumping in the Derby Arena. The cross-country will be on both grass and sand – so whatever the weather, the going will be good.

Next Tuesday, September 4 will be the last of the Tuesday night Jump Cross competitions for this season. Huge thanks must go to Kingsfield Haylage for their ongoing support throughout the summer series.

On Saturday, September 15, there is a Working Hunter Show, which has been very kindly sponsored by Baileys Horse Feeds. Pony classes are open to ponies of any height up to 15hh and will start at 9am with 65cm. Horse classes will start at 1pm with the 70cm class. Full schedule and details of all events are available on Eric Pele Equestrian Facebook.

Go As You Please will take place on Sundays, September 9, 16, 23 and 30. Cost is £20 per horse or pony and riders can turn up without booking between 12 noon and 5pm. Facilities are available to hire or for schooling during the week by prior arrangement. All enquiries to Eric on 07971 146505.
