ON Saturday, December 16, the Glen Harriers had the pleasure of hunting over Mr Donald and Mrs Anne-Marie Cassley’s ground in the beautiful village of Armoy; their daughter Aine was among the many riders availing of this fantastic hunting ground.
Thankfully, the weather stayed fair and everyone made the most of the opportunity to jump the natural hedgerow fencing, along with fences created by the organisers and Joint Hunt Masters, John Laverty and Dominic McMullan. The day’s hunt ran smoothly with the fences challenging all riding abilities, however, for those who didn’t wish to jump, there was always a way round all obstacles.
It is fair to say a good day’s fun was had by everyone amongst like-minded friends. The Glen Harriers would like to extend their gratitude to the Cassley family for hosting the hunt and for their hospitality afterwards.
Anyone wishing to find out more about The Glen Harriers can message them on facebook or ring either of the Joint Hunt Masters, John Laverty on 07752 232148 or Dominic McMullan on 07802 470722.
A special thank you goes to Colette Traynor for taking photos at the weekly hunts.
The Glen Harriers wish to stress that hunting is by invitation and guests must make contact prior to attending.
