GRANSHA Equestrian Centre, Bangor are delighted to have a new sponsor on board for their summer dressage league. Crawfords of Newtownards opened its doors back in 1980 and have been providing school wear ever since. Located in the centre of Ards, this family-run business also now offers an embroidery service. The quality of their work is excellent, they are fast and offer very competitive rates. Prizes at the final dressage competition held in September will, of course, feature embroidery courtesy of Crawfords.
Proceedings kicked off on Saturday, June 30 with a beautiful sunny day and plenty of lovely tests ridden under the watchful eye of judges, David Patterson and Sharon McGimpsey.
Charlotte McCullough and ‘Burnished Denman’ took the honours in the Junior Intro class. This combination have benefitted from the monthly dressage training now available at Gransha with Kirsty Jackson through the Northern Ireland Youth Dressage scheme. Established by Alison Mastin Moore back in 2012, this initiative is for eight to 25-year-olds who are keen to improve their flatwork and gain a greater understanding of their horse or pony’s way of going.
