COUNTY Antrim manufact-urer Blaney Agri is pleased to announce that a wide range of its feeding and bedding machinery is elig-ible for support under the Farm Business Improvement Scheme.
With winter upon us, many farmers are looking for ways to save time in daily labour intensive chores. For feeding round bale silage Blaney offers the Forager X10 and Bale feeder X6 Bale Unrollers and the Bale Shredder/Straw Chopper.
Bedding machinery includes a
range of cubicle bedders and poultry bedders. All of these are designed to save time and money for more profitable farming.
The Forager X10 bale unroller is the result of 15 years’ intensive product development. Blaney has a long-running history of making these machines, and with an ethos of innovation and continual improvement, this bale unroller has evolved over the years to incorporate a host of improvements and enhancements to exceed ex-pectations.
The Forager X10L, a special loader/telehandler version of the bale unroller, means that high stacked bales are no longer a problem and silage can be fed along passageways, into feeders or used to unroll into mixer wagons to speed up processing times. For those with troughs or barriers to feed over, the X10W with extension sides is ideal for getting silage into these hard to reach feeding areas.
The Forager X10 is now a well proven, life-changing piece of equip-ment and for many customers has become the most prized tool they own, being easy on the back and the pocket, saving hours of daily back breaking labour and reducing bale waste by around 20 per cent.
Blaney also offers its Bale Feeder X6, ideal for those on a budget.
For many farms a great aspect of the Blaney bale unroller is that it is a one man and one tractor operation. Feeding a silage bale is as easy as 1-2-3, with the bale unroller able to lift, load and feed – all from the comfort of your cab. It offers a fast and effective solution for feeding out round bales to reduce the need for manual forking, to get the job done quickly and easily for better thriving animals, less wastage and improved profits.
If you prefer to process your bales, the Blaney Agri Bale Shredder has been designed to save you time and money involved in feeding and bedding livestock, typically labour intensive jobs. The large diameter rotor serves for faster bale throughput to get each task done as quickly and efficiently as possible, shredding a bale in as little as 2½ minutes, making it the fastest round bale shredder available for silage. This has been achieved by maximising material flow within the drum and rotor, through extensive computer-aided simulation and on-farm testing.
This Bale Shredder serves as a multipurpose machine with models available for feeding and bedding, or both. Imagine how much easier each day would be this winter without the need for a lot of manual work involved in forking and pushing forward silage and rolling and shaking out straw bales.
The Blaney Agri Cubicle Bedder comes in a range of models to spread an even layer of bedding with the ability to handle sawdust, wood shavings, sand, chopped straw or lime. It can fit on any standard three-point linkage, or can be custom built to suit your telehandler, loader or skid steer. It is designed with its own tilting action to self fill and manoeuvrability is not an issue with working widths from as little as 5ft.
The Cubicle Bedder will reduce your bedding material usage by as much as 50 per cent compared to manual bedding by evenly distributing the material exactly where you want it, thus saving money. With cubicle bedding a daily task, the time savings by using this machine are massive.
Blaney has made poultry house bedding a one person operation, to save time and money, to maximise farm profits. Blaney’s Poultry Bed-der will bed your houses quickly and easily, spreading an even layer of bedding in a 180 degree arc with an impressive dispensing rate.
It has the ability to handle various materials such as sawdust, wood shavings, either loose or compressed and chopped straw.
Adjustable spreading vanes help ensure an optimum even spread of a range of bedding materials. Variable speed hydraulic drive allows you to control the quantity and speed of spread. Sliding shutter plates give further control when dispensing finer bedding.
An even spread of bedding reduces fatalities of young fowl by minimising the risk of isolation from heat, water and food. Blaney Agri has designed the machine for maximum manoeuvrability and
operator vision.
An effective agitator is fitted as standard to stop material bridging in the hopper. Special models for bedding under drinkers in turkey houses are available.
