Great support amongst riders at Gransha dressage league

IT was lovely to see so many new faces competing at Gransha Equestrian Centre, Bangor last weekend, as well as the regular combinations that support the annual dressage league. The third and final qualifier of the Equine Awards NI dressage league took place on Saturday, November 13. This was the last opportunity for riders to gain qualifying points, which all go towards their final scores on December 12, when the league comes to an exciting climax!

The winning combinations from each class will be awarded a beautiful Le Mieux cooler rug and rosette, courtesy of Equine Awards NI. As an added bonus, the generous sponsors are also awarding a total of £350 to the top three most festive juniors and seniors. So riders who have not qualified for the final can also compete and be in with a chance of winning some cash just in time for Christmas!

There is always a great atmosphere at this Christmas event and families make a special effort to come out and support their loved ones. The festive music, mulled wine and minced pies always go down a treat too.

Gransha were very fortunate to have Dara McCracken Photography on site taking some beautiful photos. Dara will be with them again on December 12 to capture those precious memories, making the perfect Christmas gift or stocking filler. As always, a special thank you has to go to judges Lucinda Webb Graham and Stephen Murphy, scribes Jenny Bell and Patrick Osborough and scorer Elaine McCoo.

Don’t forget the annual ride and drive takes place at Gransha on Tuesday, December 14 too, to really get everyone in the festive spirit!
