Great to be back at Balmoral Show

It was great to be back showing poultry again. Thanks to the committee and stewards for all their hard work over the four days at the Balmoral Show, especially the McKibbin family.

With 706 entries there was a great display of eggs, poultry and pigeons and the public flocked to the marque to see them.

Jimmy Ryan had another fantastic week with his Call ducks getting Champion with a trio, whilst Gordon Walker gained Reserve Champion with a lovely German Langshan bantam.

Oliver Flanagan had Champion eggs with his trio of mixed coloured eggs whilst reserve was M & R Neill with a beautiful trio of brown eggs.

James Weatherup had a great show getting four birds up on Championship row, followed closely by McLaren and Adams with three birds on Championship row.

Peter Hamill’s bird was also up on championship row with his Belgian Barbu d’Anver cockerel, which was Champion True Bantam.

Champion Juvenile went to young Ross McKibbin, whilst Champion Utility went to Patricia Swandel.
