Hereford barbecue raises great sum for local charity

A recent field evening and barbecue held by Northern Ireland Hereford Breeders’ Association raised a grand total of £6,485 for Angel Wishes Charity.

The charity provides various treats to kids fighting cancer. It is the first charity in Northern Ireland to provide children with a no isolation robot having recently purchased 10 in total. This will enable a child who is unable to attend school to have an input in the classroom through means of webcam, which is undoubtedly of great benefit to any child going through treatment.

The NIHBA President Stephen Baxter chose Angel Wishes as the charity for the year after hearing about it from his son Charlie, whose classmate Jack had benefited from the charity’s good work.

NIHBA would like to thank all who attended on the evening to make the event such a huge success, most notably Dunbia, which kindly provided the meat for the barbecue.
