THE Royal Ulster Agricultural Society (RUAS) is delighted to announce that the Balmoral Show was successful in receiving funding from the Horse Sport Ireland Breeding Grant Initiative.
This vital funding stream will support the newly titled ‘Balmoral Star of the Future’ Performance Horse Championship, sponsored by Gibson Equine Haylage, by providing a €2,500 prize fund for breeders, owners and riders across both the Five-Year-Old and Six- to Eight-Year-Old classes.
Speaking about the grant, Vickie White, RUAS commented: “We are thrilled to have received the support from Horse Sport Ireland for the ‘Balmoral Star of the Future’ Performance Horse Championship.
The enhanced prize fund will now allow us to recognise and give something back to the breeders and owners of the successfully placed horses.”
The ‘Balmoral Star of the Future’ Performance Horse Championship, sponsored by Gibson Equine Haylage, will take place in the Main Arena on Friday, May 13 from 8.30am. To find out more, visit www.balmoralshow.co.uk
