Ideal conditions for Hawthorn Vintage rally

CONDITIONS were ideal for the rally held by the Hawthorn Vintage and Classic Club, held at the Hawthorn Inn, Kilrea Road, Portglenone.

On display there was an array of tractors, cars, stationary engines, stalls, plus a baling demonstration. Another popular exhibit was Portglenone man Frank Church’s model ‘waltzer’.

ALL SET: PJ Henry, with his tractor and caravan.

There was also a short road run: a three and a half mile route along the Kilrea Road, Clady Road, Glenone Road, Ballymacombs Road and then back to the Hawthorn Inn.

The club’s main road run will take place on the second Saturday in October.
