SHOW jumping competitions have continued to run at Connell Hill Equestrian Centre, Randalstown, with a jam-packed schedule last week, which started with the SJI Summer Horse League on Thursday, August 6. The weather stayed fair to allow all competitors to enjoy another inviting course built by Will Creen.

Connell Hill Equestrian Centre was also thrilled to be able to host a leg of the Youngster Tour Ireland on Sunday, August 9. Given the changes in competition this year, the Youngster Tour has been a great way for young horses to gain that needed experience for the 2021 season. Competitors enjoyed another great course and summer sunshine throughout the day, as many competed to qualify for the Youngster Tour Grand Final, which is set to be held from September 10 to 13 at Mullingar Equestrian Centre.

Organisers would again like to thank all those who attend these shows for their co-operation in using the track and trace facility and for adhering to the Covid regulations set in place. Connell Hill will continue to run registered shows every Thursday in August, with details and entry available on the SJI website: www.sjilive.ie and unregistered shows, details of which can be found on the Connell Hill website: www.connellhillequestriancentre.com.
