AFTER a successful first year as a JCB dealer, R Kennedy and Co Ltd of Ballymena and Ballynahinch are holding open days at the Ballymena depot next week, on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 4-5.
John McAllister told FarmWeek: “We have had an extremely busy year since taking on the JCB dealership a year ago. Sales have reached over 150 machines in the first year with big demand for the 320 loader and the bigger contractor machines.”
A special draw at the open days will be the new JCB 420 loader which is bigger than the popular 320S, taking into account the growing workload for these machines on the Province’s farms. It is ideal for larger farms and smaller contractors.
The JCB TM420 telescopic wheel loader is built to handle anything. The class leader when it comes to lift capacity and tearout force, it also has a 5.4m lift height, 2.95m forward reach and the superb JCB EcoMAX engine. In short, it’s been designed and built from scratch to deliver all the power and strength you could ever hope for in an articulated machine.
A selection of other JCB farm models will also be on display.
Kennedys are, of course, best known as New Holland dealers and will have a range of tractors on view during the open days, while the FR920 forage harvester will be making its debut. The new flagship model, the FR920, takes foraging to a new level. High capacity and productivity result from the powerful new engine and improved feeding, while the industry-leading HydroLoc technology delivers best-in-class chop quality.
The premises will be open from 10am to 10pm on both days and there will be a host of special offers on parts and filters throughout the two days.
Given that we are close to Christmas it will also be an opportunity to stock up on both New Holland and JCB merchandise with everything from toys to clothing available.
There will be refreshments available during the open days. Everyone welcome.
