ARDNACASHEL Equestrian, Comber, welcomed an elusive sunny autumn day to start the Jump Mix event on Saturday, September 12. Competitors enjoyed a flowing, well dressed course, containing a mix of Show Jumps and Cross-Country portables, with the second half being timed.
Anna Skelly and ‘Willow’ took the win in the 70cm class, with Joanne Cairns and ‘Apache’ hot on their tail to claim second place. The 85cm class was a very competitive class, but Lauren Madine triumphed taking first place, with the fastest clear round of the day on her pony ‘Mooney’.
It was a close and exciting contest between Cara McNabb on ‘Annie’ and Anya Teuton on ‘Painted Cavalier’ in the 1m class, with Cara just pipping Anya with a winning time.
First place competitors went home with a lovely embroidered Ardnacashel numnah. Ardnacashel would like to thank all those who competed making it an enjoyable day for all.
Competitions have since continued at Ardnacashel with Show Jumping on Saturday, September 19 and week two of the centre’s popular Dressage League Sunday, September 20.
Further information on forthcoming events is available at www.ardnacashelequestrian.co.uk or facebook ardnacashel equestriancomber. All events are pre-entry via the website.
