DOWNPATRICK Racecourse will host their ‘Keep It Country’ Raceday this Sunday, August 12. This popular meeting always provides a winning combination of exciting sport and great ‘craic’, with seven races to be enjoyed from 2.05pm and a spectacular concert from Country star Jim Devine after racing.

A month has elapsed since Downpatrick’s last meeting on July 13, so a healthy crowd will surely be in attendance on Sunday as Ireland’s best jump jockeys and trainers renew rivalry at the County Down track. The feature will be the Major William Brownlow Memorial Rated Hurdle, run in memory of Downpatrick Racecourse’s former Chairman and Patron.

After racing, Jim Devine will take to the stage.

Jim and his band have a strong following across Ireland and their lively tunes are guaranteed to fill the dance floor with happy revellers.
