THE Killultagh, Old Rock and Chichester hunt finally held their Boxing Day ride on Saturday, January 8. Meeting in the St. John’s Church Hall car park in Crumlin, they paraded the town before turning into Geoffrey Porter’s for the first of the six cross-country runs.
A well set up course by Patrick and Swanny gave the field plenty of enjoyment, with different degrees of difficulty – despite which the complete field made it back in one piece, but perhaps a little mucky, to the meet several hours later.
Once the horses were boxed, Carol and Jean had welcome mugs of hot soup and fresh homemade wheaten bread for the participants.
The Killultagh hunt would like to thank, St. John’s Church of Ireland, all the visitors and friends for their support at the ride, Jim McGann for taking the photos and especially the farmers and landowners for permitting the hunt to cross their lands.
