THE Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice will benefit to the impressive sum of £3,851 from the highly successful Kilrea New Year Tractor Run, which attracted an impressive turnout of 200 tractors.
After assembling at Kilrea Market Yard, the cavalcade travelled along Maghera Street, Bridge Street, Bann Road, Craigs Road, Kilrea Road, Main Street, Fenaghy Road, Galgorm Road, Bainafie Road, Ballymena Road, Main Street, Portglenone, Clady Road, Kilrea Road, Moneygran Road, Church Street and back to Maghera Street and the Market Yard.
Main organiser Matthew Sloan expressed thanks to the fantastic team who helped out; main sponsor Pollock Car Sales, which had a fleet of pickups at the run; Kilrea Livestock Market for the use of the Market Yard; the Country Bite outside catering for the delicious food, and everyone who came on tractors or on foot to support the run, helping to make the event a resounding success.
