KINEDALE Donkeys, a donkey activity farm and therapy animal service at Ballynahinch, will sponsor the Champion and Reserve Champion Donkey classes at 152nd Balmoral Show in partnership with Ulster Bank.
This year, winners of the donkey classes will receive prizes up to the value of £100 consisting of Kinedale Donkey’s newly stocked Donkey Milk Skincare range that is made of Pyrenees donkey milk – an endangered European breed, which is now steadily growing in numbers as they have a purpose.
The skincare is ethically sourced, as the foals are not separated from the mares, further the colts are sold to help better the breeding stock.
Speaking about the Show, Robert Wallace, Kinedale Donkeys commented: “I am so pleased to promote the donkey and its versatility at Balmoral Show, an often undervalued and misunderstood animal yet has its roots intertwined with humanity for so long.
Donkey milk has been used by the famous Cleopatra, who bathed in it to reduce aging and help make her skin glow! She is still known today for her beauty and that was over 2000 years ago… so it must be good stuff.”
