Tyrone based Drumlish Farm Machinery, in conjunction with Kuhn Farm Machinery, is hosting a ‘Quality Forage Evening’ at Mahon’s Hotel, Irvinestown, County Fermanagh, on Tuesday, October 22, at 7.30pm.

This one-off evening will showcase significant opportunities for farmers and contractors alike to boost production from forage through the use of more advanced grassland machinery technology by Kuhn.

Farmers at this free evening will be able to benefit from keynote speakers from Kuhn UK who will give best practice advice and money saving techniques.

One of the stars of the evening will be the new Kuhn Merge Maxx 950 which is making it’s first appearance in Northern Ireland.

Aimed at larger scale grassland farms and contractors, this impressive piece of kit uses two adjustable, variable width and bi-directional merger belts to give a maximum grass mowing width of 9.5m in a single pass.

Farmers will also have the opportunity to learn about two of Kuhn’s most popular baler wrapper combination machines which use film binding technology. The award-winning twin satellite FBP 3135 BalePack which won the DLV ‘Machine of the Year 2018’ and the i-BIO+.

Also at the event will be Kuhn’s new front-mounted disc mower conditioner – the 3125 front mower, the new trailed Kuhn GMD mower and the latest Kuhn fertiliser spreader.

Speaking ahead of the event, organiser Gerard Barrett at Drumlish Farm Machinery highlighted the role of new grassland machinery technology in the ongoing quest to boost production from forage.

“Innovation in machinery technology is creating opportunities for livestock farmers to improve the efficiency of forage conservation and increase the quality of the silage and this event will help showcase this,” he said.

Not only will farmers and contractors on the evening get to learn about forage advancements and best practice techniques but they will also learn about the latest finance deals available from Kuhn, including up to 0% finance on new Kuhn balers and baler wrapper combinations.
