THERE was a special Land Rover theme for this year’s annual vintage rally organised by the Braid Valley Vintage Enthusiasts Ltd at the Sheddings.
With the sun blazing down, the event had one of its biggest crowds in years. And there was much to entertain the spectators. Apart from the 56 Land Rovers, there was a fine array of vintage vehicles and stationary engines, music from Victor Gregg and Billy Elvis and a selection of stalls, animals, a blacksmith, a pet show, a tractor/Land Rover seesaw, tug of war against a Land Rover, and entertainment for the younger generation.
The Braid Valley Vintage Enthusiasts would like to sincerely thank the Hamill Family for the use of the land and facilities, all the exhibitors, stall holders, caterers, artists, spectators, those who donated prizes for the raffle and everyone who helped in any way to make the event such a success.
Next up for the Braid Valley Vintage Enthusiasts is the annual tractor run, on Saturday September 7, leaving Broughshane Community Centre at 11.30am.
