THE latest New Holland tractors from the T4, T5, T6 and T7 ranges will take pride of place at the Burkes of Cornascriebe Open Week, from Monday, February 18, to Friday, February 22.
New Holland has improved its popular T5 and T7 tractor ranges – its best sellers in its power bracket in Europe – to not only meet Tier 4B emissions regulations, but also to incorporate a host of new features designed to boost comfort, efficiency and productivity.
The new T5 Tier 4B range has been re-engineered to meet the evolving needs of livestock farmers and those who require a nimble, mid-powered tractor for dairy and mixed farming.
New Holland’s T6-180 all-purpose tractor series combines ultimate power with advanced technology to deliver unmatched comfort, visibility and manoeuvrability together with more power and performance.
Burkes recently sold a T6145 Dynamic Command, complete with New Holland loader to a local dairy farmer.
For those on a tighter budget, there will also be a selection of good clean pre-used tractors on offer.
Also on view will be the popular 200 Series of New Holland skid steers loaders which boast best in class visibility and quick work cycles to make those farming jobs a lot easier.
For dairy farmers who want their cows to be clean, comfortable and productive, on show will be the American built Woodchuck sawdust shaving spreaders and cubicle brush. Both items can be fitted to either skidsteer, wheel or farm handlers.
There will also be demonstrations of both timber saws and log splitters, up to 14 tonne vertical models, given the increased interest in wood burning stoves. Burkes also offers a range of Rosselli saw benches.
Also this year there will be a wide range of Ritchie sheep handling equipment, including the award winning Sheep Combi Clamp, Cattle Stock Cube, as well as a sheep shower.
Apple growers are a significant element of the Burkes’ clientele with Votex and Continental mowers popular down the years.
Shredders are now widely used to chop orchard prunings, as well as for chopping rushes to allow new growth prior to applying herbicide, resulting in a better kill. Continental also offers a range of orchard and crop sprayers.
The Agrofer muck spreader, ideal for work between the apple trees in the ‘orchard county’, is a front discharge machine with wooden sides which combines traditional design with modern engineering. It is now available for sale or hire.
The Vicon range at Burkes has also been extended to not only include fertiliser spinners but incorporates 8ft mowers, which can be fitted with optional topping skids, as well as the smaller end of Vicon’s rowers and rakes.
Other attractions include the Orsi forklift range – ideal for both orchards and yard use, the Orsi box tipper, Fleming equipment, Morris crush gates and a selection of field gates and fencing requirements.
The locally manufactured range of Fleming Agri equipment is always a popular choice amongst farmers with a vast array of different implements to suit every farming application.
Burkes is now supplying Th-ompsons animal feeds in small bags and also the Pegus horse stud cubes and Cool Mix for discerning horse owners.
Rape straw is available at a special promotion price of £5 per bag.
The stores department boasts a large range of parts and accessories with protective floor mats and seat covers being specialities.
The clothing department has a wide range of Burkes hoodies, coats and shirts boasting the ‘If it’s not Blue, it won’t do’ slogan. New Holland wellie boots and work boots are also available.
Out in the yard, there are fence posts, wire and field gates galore.
All New Holland parts come at special discounts during Open Week, along with oil (50 litre and 200 litre) and filters at keen prices.
The parts’ department also offers a good range of Draper and Sealey tools and socket sets and compressors.
