DUE to the phenomenal success of the first ever Lough Neagh Artisans Market in May, it is returning to Lock Keeper’s Cottage, Toome, on Sunday, August 14, from 1pm to 5pm.
Thirty-five traders will showcase local produce, arts and crafts from the shoreline of Lough Neagh and right across Northern Ireland. Admission is free.
There will be live music, product sampling and visitors can even take boat trips from noon along Toome Canal and out onto Lough Neagh.
Eimear Kearney, Marketing Manager of Lough Neagh Partnership, said: “We were overwhelmed by the phenomenal success of the first Lough Neagh Artisans Market that it wasn’t a case of ‘if’ we would do it again but simply ‘when’.
“So we are very excited to announce that the market will be returning on August 14 and it is being organised by members of Lough Neagh Partnership’s Lough Neagh Artisans Group.
“The Lough Neagh Artisans Market has been hugely popular with artisan traders on our doorstep and right across Northern Ireland and visitors will be able to immerse themselves in an entertaining and fun day out while supporting the best local producers.”
Lough Neagh’s Stories will provide ‘Lough Neagh Taster Boat Tours’ every hour on the hour from 1pm to 5pm with guided commentary.
Visitors will embark on the Canal Walk at the lock-gate on the outer pier. To book, please email info@loughneaghsstories.com
River Bann Tours boat trips will depart from noon until 5pm every half hour from Toome to Church Island.
