THE Mid Antrim Horse Show will be held at the usual venue of Ballee Playing Fields, Ballymena this Saturday, June 18. The registered classes, incorporating the Amateur classes, start at 9am in Arena 1 with the 90cm class, followed by the 1m, 1.10m, 1.20m and finishing with the 1.35m Grand Prix, which has a prize fund of £1,000. Entries should be made online in advance.
The unregistered classes will start at 10.30am in Arena 2, with the first competition being Junior Jumping (cross-poles), followed by 50cm Novice Ponies, 70cm Novice Horses and Ponies.
The 80cm, 90cm and 1m classes are Open classes for Horses and Ponies, with timed second round jump-offs.
All classes are £10 per entry, except for the 50cm, which is £5.
All prizes in kind. Entries on the day.
The courses in both arenas are, as usual, built by the expert Raymond and Nigel Jess, with their wealth of experience. Ballee boasts an excellent jumping surface, on grass, which is becoming increasingly rare on the show jumping circuit.
Many thanks to all the generous sponsors and helpers.
