MOURNE YFC members have been extremely busy as they have finished up their winter programme and are preparing for their fundraiser night, to be held on May 6 in the Harbour Bar, Annalong, in support of the club.
Ideally each year the club’s committee selects a different charity to fundraise for throughout the programme. However, due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the committee has decided it will be raising funds to support the club, with plans to do even more charity work next year.
This decision has come as the committee believes it is vital at this time to inject a sense of community into local society in order to support the young people, especially junior members who have been socially affected by the pandemic. The club members are looking forward to the event with a quiz and raffle planned during a night of craic and loads of prizes to be won.
